I thought this course was really well done. I liked that introduction explained the course was created by people with Autism and I found the structure and clarity of the information provided to be really helpful. The course had a nice balance of the history of Autism, emphasized the differences between diagnostic language 'disorder' and how we can use alternative, more positive language on a day to day basis. I learned a lot about Autism and terms to use when talking about it, and even picked up on some characteristics I may have myself which could point towards some neurodiversity. Some feedback (I'm not sure how much you would be able to take on board, just some thoughts I had) would be to perhaps include a section on experiencing Autism with friendships/partners. I understand this course is for the workplace, but as it includes sections for children/parents/teachers/healthcare/workplace/etc, I thought it could be really helpful to include an extra section as so many of us may have friends/partners who are Autistic/neurodivergent and would massively benefit from some tips on how to tackle issues that may come up. Another thought would be to include more information on other neurodivergencies. There was a small section on this but ADHD is also so common and can really affect how people interact, so perhaps a little more focus on this, if possible, would be beneficial. Overall, a great, informative course, written with input from Autistic people (so important) and with a lens of empathy and understanding. Apologies for rambling!
