“To be clear, I am fully subscribed to the need to complete sexual harassment training and indeed lobbied for my staff body to have to do so. However, I frankly found this training a complete waste of time. It is entirely aimed at a policy level and does nothing to challenge cultural/societal issues that might lead to sexual harassment. It does not give any practical tips on how to actually support colleagues and entirely focusses on policy/procedures which frankly are aimed at managers far above the level that I operate at. The questions/assessments are plainly speaking insulting and could be answered by a chimpanzee with its eyes closed. What is the point on an assessment that one could score 100% on without having actually done the training? Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. No surprise these problems are still pervasive in the work place with waste of time training like this.”
