“The course is excellent, however, I was surprised that whilst sexual abuse disclosure is covered well, the options for professionals to refer survivors of sexual abuse were limited to one specialist agency, which offers telephone emotional support and signposting (NAPAC), who don't offer counselling. One of the common themes identified in both peer-reviewed research and grey literature - IICSA series of reports, for example, is sexual crime survivors reporting being 'sent around the houses' when being supported to find specialist services.
