“The language used by HST was unclear, often feeling like guidance was lifted from complex legal frameworks without attempting to explain the underlying principles in simple language. The understanding of the law delivered was very broad. This training has added to a general understanding of data protection law, but I don't feel clearer about expectations of me as an employee. At times this training referred to me as a business or employer. This feels like training designed to cover people's backs rather than to actually educate people in data protection.”
