I reviewed this course in consideration to rolling it out to my DP Ambassadors in multi-site business. In my view, the level of information it provided, which, in my opinion is higher than "basic DP awareness" training enables my ambassadors to gain confidence to perform their role (which is outside of their 'day jobs') without providing them with unnecessary information (for example: does it help them perform their role to know when the GDPR was implemented? I don't believe so). But it does give them a good insight of what needs to be considered on a general day-to-day basis. It has been well received by my ambassadors. The fact that it is certificated by a third party (the IIRSM) is beneficial in two ways: 1) Achieving Certification gives my ambassadors a certain credibility and confidence in that role 2) It rewards my ambassadors with a 'qualification' that is personal to them (one for them to add to their CV) Don't get me wrong, completing the course won't turn you in to an overnight DPO and my ambassadors are still, quite rightly, supported by a CIPP/E qualified Data Protection Manager. But it does make them more comfortable with some of the terminology and aspects of Data Protection to be able them to positively contribute to Data Protection related discussions. Oh and the management portal isn't too bad either! All that, at that price! - It's a win-win in my book.

I've done the course, there is a mistake as during the course in the section Introduction to Data Protection and the EU and UK GDPR it says the UK GDPR came in on the 31st December 2020 and in the summary it says it came in January 2020.
