“I've never had proper jerk chicken with rice and peas before, so I had to try it.
At first I wasn't sure it would be filling enough, as the portion looked small before it was cooked, and the rice looked very dry. I added water to it before I oven cooked it per the guidelines, and it was still a little dry when it came out. However, with the rice a bit more moist, it looked more like a full meal.
Saying that, the chicken was fantastic! The spices were just right - lingering in the mouth, but not overpowering. The chicken was moist and very tender. I enjoyed the rice and peas too, it was just the dryness that wasn't quite right.
I may order this again as it was enjoyable and I enjoyed trying food from a different culture. Thanks very much to the chef!”
