I bought this connector for a larger tap but I didn’t realise that it only connected to a very large hose.I contacted Hose link and the sorted it all out very quickly.

I couldn’t make it fit the tap, so my son bought new taps and installed them for me. The connectors now fit the taps. The taps that were installed by the builder were not standard sizes.

I work for a school as the general assistant and I have found that the red 18 mm fittings deteriorate much faster then the green 12 mm fittings.I don't know if it is the colour that causes it to deteriorate in the sun but I haven't had to replace any 12 mm fittings since they were purchased some 5 or 6 years ago. But I have had to replace all 10 18 mm fittings as they leak and come apart to easy. I have had the 12 mm fittings twice as long as the 18 mm one'sHope this info will helpJohn Rivas

I use the connectors to attach fire fighting nozzles to my 18 mm hoses as well as to attach the hoses to taps. I use the joiners to lengthen 18 mm hoses for firefighting too. Not much fun to have a click joiner fair if you are putting out a spot fire or controlling a rubbish burn-off. I’m not suggesting anyone should use such a system to fight a full-on bush or grass fire. Best to leave that to trained and equipped professionals and leave.
