“I think the post is to short. I prefer to put more post in the ground as the reel is heavy and than pulling on the hose the post may move over time. Also, the instructions say to mount the reel at waist height. However, the post is not long enough unless you mean the hose comes out at waist height. I dug the hole deeper and wider and used another bag of concrete. My grandfather taught me to put the post in the ground as much as it is out. All his strainer post were eight foot. It felt very strange not to put more of the reel support into the ground. Despite my thoughts the post is doing it’s job”
“Mounted post to a retaining wall and it worked well, allowed me to locate the hose where I needed to in the garden. Works great and allows hose reel to spin 360 if needed. Slim size makes unobtrusive in garden. If I was mounting ithe post in the ground I feel the reel, if post mounted deep into ground to give the strength needed to handle a 30m hose, ithe reel would only be slightly above the grass. Perhaps making a grey or monument colour option would be good.”
