“Unfortunately the post is too short to suit my situation, I will be using the normal mounting bracket when I create a suitable frame and solid support for the bracket.I will be returning the post ASAP.”
“This product needs to have a locking mechanism attached to it to connect to the hose reel to prevent theft of the hose reel which currently can be lifted straight off. This is especially true for ones in the front garden. The hose reels are well recognised for their quality and at $250 are an easy target to be stolen. Would cost bugger all to weld a loop on it and a small chain to attach to the hose reel.”
“The mounting post is great if you don’t have a wall to secure your mounting bracket on but the only negative is that you cannot lock your reel onto it. So I’m finding that I need to take the reel off after use to store it in the garage as my mounting pole is in the front garden near the tap and I fear that someone may steal my hose reel as I can’t lock it in any way.”
