“I recently installed a 30 m Hoselink unit at my sister-in-law's house. She is a blind pensioner who had heard good things about your unit, and wanted to keep her yard free of hose which provided a tripping hazard.The installation went ok once I used the template provided to drill the holes, and then she wanted to fit the spray unit and the sprinkler unit. The bayonet fittings may be great for sealing against leaks as per your brochure, but are difficult to use for a person with limited vision. The simple click - fittings found at any hardware store are so much simpler to use for most people. I appreciate they eventually do leak and need replacing, but the simplicity of the fittings overcomes this weakness.Your retractable unit is brilliant , and most purchases would be made because of the retractability of the hose, but I feel the use of the bayonet fittings ( with spare O-rings) over- complicates the unit. The unit would also be cheaper if the simple fittings were used.I hope these comments are taken as constructive, as the unit is handy to retract the hose for aesthetic and safety reasons.”
