I rang the office and the assistant advised me to stand in front of the hose with one hand on the storage shell and pull sharply several times to loosen the hose. Simple, but it worked. “The hoselink retractable hose is great, though a little harder to use than I thought. Pulling out the hose takes more strength than I thought it would (a bit like pulling up the anchor on the QE2!) but it does retract beautifully and keeps the backyard looking tidy. I also purchased the shower wand, which I find a bit heavy and the 'soft spray' is nowhere near as gentle as my Gardena one. So I'm happy with my purchase, but just a little disappointed too.”
