“The concept is good, it seems to work. The spikes are a bit flimsy for our Canberra soil - the stress marks that indicated stress and the jaunty angle it attained in the process of trying to get them into the garden makes me think they may not last. A metal spike piece may have been a better design option.”

“I like the concept, but it is not particularly successful in my situation. I basically live on a sand dune by the beach and despite building up the organic content of my gardens, the soil remains friable. The spike needs to be larger and longer in these situations. I am going to drive in some 300mm galvanised pipe, fill them with sand and then drive in the hose guides. Should work and hold them in place when under stress from the hose being pulled around it . No fault of the product, but could offer another option if this presents as a problem for others in similar locations. Alan”
