If the ground where you wish to place the guide is hard it is best to penetrate the ground with a steel spike first so as not to damage or bend the guide spike. Once you have them in the correct position for your gardening needs then you can freely pull the hose to wherever you want it without fear of damaging you garden plants or pots. They are also quite sturdy in construction.”
