“Parasol new formula is awful. Smells like alcohol and badly stains clothes. Used the original formula for years and loved it. Never buy the new formula again.”
“My wife and I find this new Parasol sun care much easier to apply being more of a Gel. Not only does it dry quicker but it also appears to go a lot further on the skin. Great product with long lasting protection.”
“As a family we have used parasol sunscreen for many years. We are fair skinned and it seemed the most effective and didn't stain our clothes. When the sale of parasol stopped we hunted everywhere to get remaining bottles. We were delighted to find inish pharmacy selling it. Here are our findings - it seems to prevent burning as it always had, not sure about tanning anymore as we haven't had much sun yet this summer. So far, so good. However, there are some changes we have found a) it is now a gel rather than an oil b)we all cough when we apply it, whatever new ingredients are in it, they smell v strongly c) it seems to now stain the pillow cases. As we use it as a sunscreen it does the job but are disappointed that the recipe that seemed to work so well has deteriorated”
“So disappointing. I have been a fan of Parasol for years and was excited to see it stocked again after a few years. But this isn't anything like the parasol I've always used for the last 20 years. One bottle of spf30 was like a gel and the whole thing disappeared in a day with my three kids using it. You have no idea how much you are putting on as it evaporates like hand sanitiser immediately. One bottle was a regular white cream that could be any brand of sun cream. Bottle said spf 50. Nothing special at all. I miss the old oil versions so much as they used to be the only sun cream I would trust on my kids skin.”
