Comfortable socks but our chiggers in Kentucky must be hardier than other states because I got chigger bites two different days but no tick bites Which I was more concerned about because I got Rocky Mountain spotted fever from a tick before I bought my socks no ticks since I started wearing these socks

Super excited to have these and they did keep the chiggers away. I wore them pulled over my jeans. They are soft and comfortable. They did snag on some briars and there is now a hole in them. I'll try to mend them but was surprised they were not more rugged.

Hi, these socks have been great. Comfortable and the tick repellant helps give me peace of mind.

These are nice comfortable socks and of good quality just like all of insect shield products I have purchased. It has been a bad year for ticks and mosquitos in middle Minnesota so I where their products daily in the yard and woods around our house. I went for a long hike (3 hours) the other day with my dog and I had a steady 5 - 6 ticks on my pants through the whole hike. I kept track of them to make sure none of them got to my waistband and none did. When I got home I always do a tick check and didn't find any on me. Their products allow me to enjoy the woods in the spring and summer. Otherwise I would be confined to our yard all summer.

I like having the protection from insects near the ground where they usually latch on, but my feet slide a little in my hiking boots and the socks pilled on the bottom after 5 miles. I thought these were a better deal than the hiking socks, but I would spend the money for the nicer socks from insect shield if you're going to be putting on many miles.
