“If sewn-in labels provide adequate marking for you, then embroidery is not really needed.
However, I like having the embroidery with Insect Shield logo on shirts (left upper arm sleeve) & trousers (above right hip/back pocket) so that I can quickly ID which have been treated. It would be nice if the customer could specify the preferred location.
Embroidery on hats is not worth price because all that is imprinted is a very small shield, Insect Shield's icon.
Socks do not have sew-in labels and embroidery is not available for this item of clothing. Instead, label information is imprinted/screened on the bottom/soul of the socks. Due to the small print size and rough texture of my boot socks, the label is difficult to read--not big deal for me. I was surprised to see that the imprinted label holding up well to washing and wear. There is only two colors available, black and white.”
“I'm a repeat customer who primarily seeks relief from the abundant ticks & chiggers found on our rural property. When wearing treated socks, jeans, shirt, & fishing hat with cape, I've had no bites. Sometimes I could hear mosquitoes getting close and gnats sometimes landing on my face that are an annoyance. Even spray repellents aren't completely effective for these two pest--only solution is to wear hat with mesh covering.
If I'm counting right, this was my fourth order over a two year period and I am continually pleased with the quick turnaround time.”
“My husband and I sent in gardening and work clothes several years ago, and we have enjoyed worry-free gardening, field work, and hiking ever since. I can't say enough about how effective this is aganst ticks, the dreaded Maine black flies, and mosquitoes. Am about to send in my new overalls for treatment! Few even approach, and those that do, regret it! I have recommended the treatment to all my coast of Maine friends.”
“I have been mapping soils in North Carolina since 1988. We used ot not see any of the juvenile Lonestar ticks. Since the early 90s we've seen an increase in the Lonestar ticks as well as the Black Legged Ticks. We've also seen an increase in Lymes desease and a huge increase in alpha-gal syndrome. After learning that spray-on treatments show up in your bloodstream in minutes I switched to insect shield. I feel like the process of binding the chemical to the garment is much safer than just spraying your clothes. We work in some of the highest populations of lonestar ticks in the state. Before insect shield we use to use duct tape to tape our pants to our boots and then wrap the tape on our hands with the sticky side out to collect the ticks that would crawl up our pants. Now, we just use insect shield. I hardly ever find a tick even attempting to get on my clothes. I don't think they will ever come out with anything better.

“Great service and great product. The first time I walked in the woods with my treated pants, I felt the lifting of a massive anxiety I didn't even know was there. My only complaint is that both of the pants I've had treated came back just slightly too small to be comfortable anymore. I would highly recommend sending loose clothing to be treated.”
“My wife and I are Long Term Volunteer for the California State Parks doing trail maintenance and invasive plant eradication and supply our own work clothes. We work in high tick areas several times a week and even though we spray our clothing with Permethrin, we have still found the odd tick (and yes, we do a tick examination of ourselves when we get home.) Permethrin spray is great for short term protections but I always wished I did not have to keep count of the sprayed garments wash count, continued respraying, expense and time, and not be concerned about missing spraying an article. And then I ran across Insect Shield Treat Your Clothes. It could not have been easier to get all of my wife and my clothes treated with, for all practice purposes, permanent Permethrin protection. I found the Insect Shield company to be very efficient, and very responsive to my questions. All companies should function like Insect Shield. I wish I had found them last year.”
“I have been buying your products for many years, since my son got lyme disease in 2006. He has bad skin reactions to any topical protection (even the "natural" ones), and I was very excited when I first saw your products. I thought "This is too good to be true." From our first wearing, it was clear that Insect Shield worked beyond my wildest hopes. My son never had a reaction to the clothing, and both of us have been blissfully tick and mosquito free for many years of hiking, yard work and outdoor fun. My only complaint was that we couldn't always find the styles or sizes of clothing that we wanted. When I saw that you had introduced Insect Shield Your Own Clothing, I got excited all over again. I immediately sent out a box of clothing for both of us. I was thrilled with the service. The clothing arrived quickly, very neatly packed, and I loved the fact that there was an information label added to the inside of each garment. Once again, your products and quality have impressed me! My son can attend a month of farm camp next month in his own style, and I know I'll never have to worry about lyme disease again. Thank you for protecting our health and comfort over the years. We depend on you!”
