“I do love my hat, but had a problem that Insect Shield refused to remedy. You should know about it before you purchase one of these hats.
I had the hat for 3 weeks before the crown cord came loose on one end. I thought the hat would be replaced. I had not had it long enough for it to wear out.
Insect Shield said they were "unable to accept the return because it had been worn and washed multiple times, so they would be unable to determine how the elastic broke".... I had stated it had been washed once, not multiple times.
I looked at the other end of the crown cord to determine how to fix the hat. I found that the "good" end was also unraveling so restitched that end and also fixed the other.
It was not my fault the cord came loose. The cord on this Chinese made hat was stitched in with a single row of stitching on either end. It was not surprising it came loose as I tried to tighten the crown cord.”

“It's a seemingly good design with two design flaws.
The device that makes it fit smaller heads isn't strong enough. It slips and the hat reverts to large only. I'm giving mine away to a friend with a large head.
It's a warm-weather hat. Black is the wrong color.”
