“Kalemat is a glorious perfume; reminds me of khyphi incense, which I adore. The packaging is wonderful, beautiful for a gift. Delivery was very prompt. I am exceptionally pleased with my purchase.”

“I imagine this is what Disney's Aladdins sweat smells like. Smokey, warm, golden-and on SALE. If you like masculine scents (it says unisex but I find it leans towards masculine, which I still love) and you like deals buy this. I have to add the presentation of this perfume is amazing, it comes beautifully wrapped.”

“I love perfume. Scent is such a powerful medium of expression, and rarely do people outside of the cosmetics hobby or psychology research consider it deeply. I play favourites, adoring Guerlain and Givenchy, but more and more people in the blogosphere started raving about this, describing its depths and longevity, so I blind-bought it. In no way was I disappointed.First, the shipping was lightning-fast from Saudi Arabia, the package was well-cushioned inside, and they included a /very/ deluxe sample of one of their perfume oils, Arabesque, with the order.Second, the packaging is elabourate, with a thick, two-tier book package lined in satin and custom ribbon. I cannot bear to throw it out, and it even came with a matching gift bag. This level of extravagance is, I've found, normal with Arabian Oud's mid-range products, and it was a delight to explore the packaging alone.Third, the juice. Oh, Kalemat. You fill a room, you last forever on skin, you have a delicious blend of honey, amber, oud, and berry that shifts and dances from shade to shade...I could sing your praises forever. The notes list anise as a top note, but there is nothing even remotely so abrasive on my skin. In the first ten minutes, its honey and amber; after two hours, its honey and oud, after six hours, its vanilla and honey, but a slip of berry finds its way in, peeking around the corner to wiggle its fingers and blush at you. Twelve bloody hours later Kalemat takes a bow, sort of, with a wisp of vanilla sweetness that lingers very close to the skin. Bonus: it acts like an extrait in that, when you hit the shower, you get a burst of it from your skin again, just to remind you of the private love affair it etched between your senses. Highly recommended!”
