This level of extravagance is, I've found, normal with Arabian Oud's mid-range products, and it was a delight to explore the packaging alone.Third, the juice. Oh, Kalemat. You fill a room, you last forever on skin, you have a delicious blend of honey, amber, oud, and berry that shifts and dances from shade to shade...I could sing your praises forever. The notes list anise as a top note, but there is nothing even remotely so abrasive on my skin. In the first ten minutes, its honey and amber; after two hours, its honey and oud, after six hours, its vanilla and honey, but a slip of berry finds its way in, peeking around the corner to wiggle its fingers and blush at you. Twelve bloody hours later Kalemat takes a bow, sort of, with a wisp of vanilla sweetness that lingers very close to the skin. Bonus: it acts like an extrait in that, when you hit the shower, you get a burst of it from your skin again, just to remind you of the private love affair it etched between your senses.
