“This is an excellent cologne from the beach to the office - and everywhere in between. Nothing off with this. This rides the middle ground between fresh, sweet, and woody that is very unique. Not powerful to offend anyone either. Clearly doesn't represent itself as a cheap cologne - smells like it should cost in the neighborhood of $100. You cannot go wrong with this gem. “Update 6/3/2023 - My wife loves this scent and comments on it every single time I wear it. However, when we were in Vegas recently, I smelled the current version of BdP at the Creed store and it is radically different. But it is different in a good way, probably even better than the vaulted version with oakmoss. When we went through LaGuardia in May and smelled it again, I afterward made the decision to buy a 30ml decant. It is expensive, but it's an incredible smell. The wife loves it even more.All this is to say, if you want the original scent with oakmoss, you can't get it from Creed any more, and this is a great buy.---I compared this to a decant of Bois du Portugal, and they are close enough that I would have difficulty picking one or the other in a blind test.If you are buying this because BdP was Sinatra's signature, you may be a little surprised or maybe even turned off by the smell initially. It is definitely a 50s / 60s scent profile and could be a little cloying if you go too heavy. If you use the right amount, there will be a clearly residual oakmoss smell after a couple of hours, balanced by french lavender. The cedar-ish smell is only strong at first, so allow a little time to settle on a decision whether you like it or not.I would expect that with all the EU restrictions on oakmoss (high incidence of allergic reactions), this scent won't be around long, or if it does continue to be offered it will be reformulated or the price will scale significantly. If you are on the fence, it might be a good idea to grab a bottle at this price.”
