“The 2016 batch with silver cap was great! This new 2017 batch with black cap is awful. Scent is all citrus almost pine sol; and goes away in less than 30 min. I thought it was me at first so I even tried 6 sprays. Did not work. After about an hour, there was no projection and a minimal skin scent. 2017 batch is a waste of money, I purchased 2 from different people and both were disappointing.”
“First things first, this scent bears an uncanny similarity to Creeds Aventus which is the main reason i bought it. I have to say that I love this fragrance, especially for the colder fall and winter months. While I definitely enjoy wearing the fragrance during the colder months, the seasonal versatility is amazing. This fragrance offers notes of sweet pineapple in the base note which really shines through and brightens up during the warmer months, and drys down to a warm and inviting smoky scent. While this fragrance does have the same DNA as Aventus, the longevity of this product actually is a pleasant improvement over the expensive creed fragrance lasting well over ten hours on my skin. “As an owner of four different batches of genuine Creed Aventus, all with slightly different nuances themselves, this cologne is no Aventus. Let’s be clear about that right upfront. An amateur fragrance aficionado, I can tell the difference immediately.This scent lacks the refined quality of something from the house of Creed. It is obviously using cheaper quality ingredients and is missing a few notes.But it’s not all bad news. This is an excellent attempt at a clone for Aventus. At basically 1/10th the price, it is a solid buy, even if it’s a blind purchase. I personally wore this scent three times this week at work, secretly in place of Aventus, and low and behold, the compliments continued. Coworkers simply said keep wearing that Creed because it smells delicious. They had no idea I was wearing a much cheaper scent. Sillage projection is not quite as great, but still very very good. People will definitely know you’re wearing this. But in a good way. Strong, sharp, punchy, but not overpowering. Longevity is comparable but not quite the staying power of Aventus. Again, at a fraction of the cost, you can simply spray an extra 2-3 sprays halfway through the day to keep smelling amazing.The bottle of juice I received is genuine. Believe it or not, there are knockoffs of knockoffs. As funny as it sounds, my purchase was a genuine knockoffs.This fragrance works well with my skin chemistry but please know that everyone is different. What might smell amazing to you on one person, might stink when you wear it. A simple fact you must accept when it comes to fragrances. That is some of the reasons you see reviews polar opposites of each other. A high quality genuine Creed Aventus will probably smell great on about 90% of people. Whereas, maybe only half will smell great using this scent. When you want that high level of quality, a price must be paid. Don’t get me wrong, I honestly think Creed fragrances over still over priced, even with the niche community. “Ok... Received the product 36 hours within the order. That's great. Packaging is similar for products of $80-$100. On the bottom of the box you see "Made in France". Bottle is heavy duty glass. Again, this is stuff you see for scents that are $80-$100. Good quality.The scent itself: First impression is lemony, pineapple. Nice. Subtle. Not overpower powering. The dry down which is about 30-45 minutes later was more smokey & woodsy. There is some pineapple coming through but not much. Staying power is where it falls short. Less than 3 hours for me and I sprayed quite a bit. 4-5 sprays around my head/neck and 2 sprays on each of my wrist/arm. That's where I'm a little disappointed. The scent is nice. Just wish it had some staying power. For the $$$ it's definitely worth it. Much more affordable than Creed Aventus. But I wish the staying power was 5-6 hours.”
