DescriptionFor delicious kombu soup stock.Make deliciously authentic, vegetarian dashi soup stock from scratch using Wel-Pac's dried dashi kombu kelp. Made from nothing but dried kombu kelp seaweed, this kombu kelp is naturally full of the L-Glutamates that give Japanese food its rich, meaty, umami flavour. Use to make kombu dashi soup stock and save for other dishes afterwards.Preparation• Heat up a sheet of kombu in a pot of water until just before boiling.
• Remove from heat and add katsuobushi bonito flakes.
• Strain out the kombu and katsuobushi for smooth liquid dashi.

I also used these in an all purpose noodle sauce, while very hard to cut, when soaked itis very easy to use and is very taste when added to noodle recipes. The description is accurate, and the quality of the product is excellent.
