“I stress a lot about cooking, what to cook, how to eat a varied diet, and how much I spend on food each month. I've been a vegetarian for 12 years and preparing simple vegetarian food when you don't like cooking is tough and often expensive. My aversion to cooking also means I often don't prepare lunches and spend a fair amount of money on takeaway/restaurant food each month.
This has been great for me, as I know I don't have to worry, that it'll be quick, contain what I need, and that it'll probably be cheaper than whatever I would have ended up eating. It's not the most exciting food an terms of taste, but I don't mind, and both strawberry and mango are tasty yet subtle enough for me to eat every day without getting sick of it. I've tried eating 1 a day for a month and has now gone to 2 on most days.
If I planned carefully, and spend a few hours on it I could probably make meals that are cheaper than the Plenny Shake that still are healthy, but that is not something I see myself devoting time and effort to. As it is, it has worked great and it makes the times that I do cook more memorable. It feels almost too good to be true that I have found an option that is cheaper, healthier and quicker than my previous diet that is still vegetarian but here we are. This is truly a life changer for me”
“Although I really love the other flavors, the cappuccino one was a disappointment. The caffeine in the shake works fine, but it tasted like sour milk more than coffee and it wasn't pleasant to drink at all. I hope they change the recipe down the road, until then I'll add coffee by myself to the chocolate which is my favorite ;)”
“Quite happy so far, taste and consistency, the energy it gives. I am adding two meals per day to my diet as a method to increase caloric intake. Only thing I was unhappy with is that they didn't send me the promised scoop and I'm a sad Panda now.
Maybe on the next order. Can't take any stars for this, but if any employee is reviewing those comments, please note that it might be a loose end with the packaging.”
“Shipping was exceedingly fast for overseas shipping. Site is fantastic, love the look and feel.
One issue, it's hard to find nutritional values on the site. It'd be great if I could see the nutritional information that is one the packaging on the website by simply clicking a product.”
“lost a lot of fat mass gained a lot of mussel mass, test i did for my studie shows im healthier them 70 % of the dutch population something you can not do with a normal diet. I love theflavors of most of the vegan version compared to other brands the flavors are not so nice mostly.”
“The site works perfectly well, no problems with shipping. Never needed to contact customer services.
I just don’t get the new name. I was happy with "Joylent", but "Jimmy Joy" sounds like something for toddlers.”
“tl:dr - I rate plenny shakes at 5 stars but the service has made me delay ordering again.
My order (1 of each flavor) arrived with a tiny mistake, doubled up chocolate, no vanilla. I contacted customer service to fix the mistake and was asked to provide a picture. After doing so, I was told the missing bag would be on the way. Days later, I ask when it will arrive and was basically told to check the tracking code. After clarifying that I hadn't received one(which seemed silly, if I had the code I wouldn't be having trouble tracking it), I was told they would find out why and get back to me asap. 2 days later, I still hadn't heard anything so checked again. This time I receive a reply stating that something went wrong and it never left the warehouse, and that they would wait until I replied to be sure I still wanted it. Now, taken all that in account, with the offers to refund more than once and even an offer to add the missing bag to my next order, this made me feel like it was purposefully put off in hopes of saving a little money on the shipping. The whole situation has made me reconsider ordering more at all. The missing bag is still on the way, at least I can finally track it, but it's still a couple days away.”
