“Mediocre at best. I had been using the old format for about 9 months, and found that to be more than sufficient. These new strips are more finicky, give more widely fluctuating readings, and are a little harder to use due to packaging, and size of the strips. I really do regret making the switch as the new device is less reliable as well.”
“I couldn't be as successful in my keto diet as I am, without the my ketone meter and strips. I use them to optimize my workouts and my fasting, in order to get the best results in losing fat and gaining energy. An example of this is, I have fasted for 18 hours, then test my ketones and glucose levels, the average is 2.1 ketone, 98 glucose, go into a 1 hour workout, after the workout the ketones are .6 and the glucose is 110 on average. this shows me my ketones have been depleted, my liver has tuned them into glucose to feed my muscles and give me the energy needed to workout. Now I don't eat for at least 3 hours after the workout, test again and find that ketones are back up to 1.8 and glucose has dropped back down to as far as 88. What this tells me is my body went to my fat stores removed the fat and turned them into ketones, which ultimately means I lost weight, which I wouldn't know if I didn't have the meter. I use use a lot of strips and the quality of the strips and the speed in which Keto Mojo delivers them to me, is in my opinion the best I've ever seen.

“OK, here goes:
1. Well, I started using the older model a while back and it was fine, then you folks removed some of the other diagnostic numbers, for whatever reason.
2. Those numbers are still missing in the new meter, though we get a new number – GKI.
3. The individual strip packaging is an absolutely horrible decision vs the simple container approach. I’ve already damaged a few stirps because of it and if the average cost is a dollar per strip, well you know. I already have to throw away strips from the old meter, because they won’t work in the new one. Again, more money in the trash.
4. The meter is smaller, harder to handle.
5. Operationally, it’s more cumbersome than the old model.
6. The numbers vary just as widely as the old one.
7. The app would never sync to my android phone, even for basic setup, until I physically deleted the app, reinstalled it, force a reset by pulling the batteries, the put them back in.
Yet, I guess much like an acquired taste, you just have to deal with it.
