“Medically, the machine works fine to get glucose and ketone information, and is pretty ingeniously-designed. I like how the calibration fluid and test strips are all automatically detected by the device. But the software is terrible. It's confusing, keeps logging out, and keeps timing out. The icon for syncing measurements to the phone looks like a refresh button, not a Bluetooth connect button, and it has no words, so it's hard to know that it's the important one. Being logged out in the middle of a measurement means I had to spend so much time re-entering my password that the blood dried up and I had to re-measure. Frankly there should be no need to log in at all: just sync via Bluetooth! The big front physical button and side buttons are confusing, too, because apparently the device turns on when you insert the test strip. The device shuts itself off pretty quickly, and I have no idea if (or how) my phone can retrieve readings from it, because there's no indication on the device that it's ready to send more data to the phone. And if it shuts off and then I push its main button, the device wakes up, but how do I know how to send that data to the phone. Sometimes it just does it automatically, but I get flustered when the device shuts off. Syncing measurements to other health apps on the iPhone is confusing, due to terminology: it says "sync", but to a new user, does that mean sync with the device, or sync with my Apple accounts, or sync with 3rd-party keto tracker software?”

“There seems to be big discrepancies between readings. First reading for fasting blood glucose one morning was 132 then, 1 minute later it was 115. This has continued to happen with the readings. There are so many reasons that the readings may be off that it doesn't seem this product is reliable or dependable.”
