“Everything works fine. I had the previous model and became accustomed to the test strips in the vials. I do realize however that the new packaging may be to ensure accurate measurements. That’s okay with me.”
“The meter middle button is not as good - the feel of tactility not as smooth as the old meter.
I find the test strips packaging is over-designed to protect the strips at the cost of usability (not easy to open, risk of tearing the test strips in the process). I'd recommend to consider an alternative design -- maybe some kind of dispenser that automatically dispense the strip from a closed container, which can be operated by a clicking of a button.”
“I did not want to leave a poor review so I put acceptable because I would like to give it a little more time. But so far:
1. I find the strip packaging very difficult and frustrating to open.
2. The strips do not seem to be as accurate. The readings in general are higher on my new meter and they have larger fluctuations. For example 2 readings taken one right after the other read 118 then 98 for blood glucose. I'm hoping that its just the strips that came with the meter and that the additional box may be more accurate.”
“(1) I find it harder to operate than the old one
(2) I seem to have trouble getting the blood to come into the strip
(3) I have no idea how to get my GKI
(4) Syncing my app did nothing, so far”
“The individual strip packets are difficult to open. It would probably be easier to open and retrieve the strip if you had "scalloped" edges on the end so it could be torn lengthwise.”
