I can’t get my account opened. I can’t get a password reminder email. My unit won’t sync to my iPhone. I haven’t gotten much help from customer support. On a good note it does produce some sort of reading when you do a test. Not very happy so far

I’m quite disappointed in the GK+ Kit. These are the major issues I have with the device: 1). The individually wrapped test strips. They are super inconvenient to open and the extra waste just isn’t necessary. The strips are smaller and very hard to handle without touching the specimen collection area. They are also harder to insert into the device. 2). The case. There is no convenient place to store lancets. 3). The lancet device. Seems to be a bit of a struggle to get the lancet inserted. I have pricked my finger on two occasions on the 3rd setting and the needle barely penetrated. Overall I am having a really hard time adjusting to the changes in the new device. I had been using the original keto-mojo meter for the last couple of years and was really comfortable with it. I still need some time to find the positives in the meter itself.

My 3-Star review comes from comparing the old Keto-Mojo to the new one;however when comparing it to other Ketone Monitors it is 5-star superior. There is not a ketone/glucose monitor on the market that surpasses the quality and build of Keto Mojo's product. Period. That being said, a few differences between the old one and the new one left me wishing I hadn't upgraded. Firstly, the individually wrapped strips are a nightmare compared to the old bottles of strips. They are not as portable, in that they take up more space; this means a few can be stored with the kit but I must also find a place to store the rest. Probably nitpicking, but I highly preferred the cohesiveness of being able to keep the bottle in the older kit as to this rigamarole. I also detest having more trash every time I test. It feels incredibly wasteful to me. The last con with these strips is that they do not seem to want to take my blood as well as the old Keto Mojo strips. There is a definitive "pause" (best way to describe it) between the blood touching the strip and the blood being vacuumed into the strip. The positive to these strips is the quantity is more for a comparable price to the old ones. The case the new Mojo comes with leaves a lot to be desired. While the old one was more "bulky", it had ample room to store strip bottles, the monitor, the plunger, and the needles without issues. While the new case is slimmer, there is no way to keep the plunger in the case without scratching the screen of the new monitor. Luckily, it does come with that protective static cling film that most electronics come with these days, or I would be looking at a permanently scratched screen. However, I quickly switched from the new case back to the old one with this monitor to keep everything together and keep them looking new. The monitor itself is very similar to the old one, with the exception of Bluetooth and more features. It is thinner as well, and feels lighter, but that could be my imagination. With the Bluetooth- you have to reconnect every draw, as it does not remain connected. I suspect this is to maintain battery life of the monitor, but it's still a hassle. However, the connectivity and usability of the app is outstanding. Phone and Mojo see each other without issue and syncing is as simple as connecting. Quality is the best way to describe that area. There are more features on this Mojo than the old one; for example: an option to add before or after eating when taking glucose readings. Very handy, but the ability to scroll through these options (and the set-up options) is headache inducing. The Mojo is not extremely responsive to the buttons (except power, see below),almost lagging, leading to either skipping over the desired selection or having to press it multiple times to get it to select at all. Since you cannot go backwards, cycling through the entire set-up is frustrating to say the least. Speaking of buttons, the on switch for the new Mojo is extremely easy to press. Since long presses place you back into the set-up mode, it can often feel like you're constantly having to reconfigure your Mojo. Annoying is an understatement. Putting it away in the case, and delicately touching the mesh pouch it is stored in, can and usually does resort to it turning on, and again, ending up in set-up mode. Very frustrating, especially with the issue of "lagging" button inputs. The extraction button launches strips to far away and unknown places, so I simple pull them out as I'd done with the older version. I just hope constantly doing this doesn't mess this bit up. Lastly, ending on a positive, I do love the light on the strip insert on the new model. The testing hasn't changed. The accuracy hasn't changed. And, the saving of previous results hasn't changed. All things that make Keto Mojo far superior to other brands. Overall, if you have the "original" Keto Mojo, keep it. While I love that the company is offering a free upgrade, and just goes to show that they are indeed the company to patronize for this type of product, I miss my old one. No fuss, no frills, just an exceptional product that does exactly what it's supposed to do. The new one, while again superior to other monitors, feels more gimmicky and unfortunately leaves you wishing Keto-Mojo would have gone for the old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

The unit works fine. It is small so it is hard to keep a handle on it. Buttons on the side are very easy to push by mistake. The apple keeps popping up but I don’t think I set up that alert. My biggest complaint is the individually packed strips. Curious what the reason is on that. I liked the little containers much better. I have a hard time opening these packs and really tough time to get the strip out. There’s kind of a sticker inside that makes it even harder. Seems like an extra expense to have them packed that way and irritating for the end user.

This is great! Gives me the biometrics I need to intelligently gauge what is happening as I transition into a keto lifestyle/diet. Valuable tool to have. I’ve used a lot of glucose testers (my son is a diabetic) and this one is straightforward and easy to use, and I appreciate that the app talks to Chronometer so I can consolidate my information.
