“This Diatomite litter has odor absorption like the other types of litter but the dust, cat trailing gets all over the floor and cat paws and ends up on my hardwood floors. I have to clean everyday. I’m back to the silica type.”
“I switched from regular litter boxes and clay litter to the diatomite. My cat had no issues with the switch. As soon as they came out with the extra large litter boxes I changed to those as my male cat is very big. Now I don't even need a hood anymore with the XL boxes. I absolutely love not having to wash litter boxes anymore!! The only issue I have is the diatomite is dusty. Fortunately they also carry silica, which I'm going to try out.
