Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Good fit and comfortable- but your feet and calves do get wet from wearing them when it’s warm. I ordered these a size bigger as I wanted a pair of wellies to just slip on and off when pottering in the garden.”

“Although expensive these boots are so comfortable to walk in even on long distances. Ordered one day delivered the following day even though I only paid for standard delivery. Excellent service and quality of goods. This is the third pair recently bought in my family!!!”

“Having tried a friends old pair of these boots, which were highly recommended by her, I purchased a pair. We both have fat legs, so got the men’s XL. The boots arrived very quickly and were well packed. However, a couple of points made them a bit disappointing. The inside heel area is left unlined and “grabs” your sock as you push your foot into the boot pulling the sock tightly against your toes which is uncomfortable. The gusset at the top pokes out however you try to arrange it, and the back of the boot kinks when you walk, pressing into the back of your leg. No doubt, if I had slimmer legs they would fit better, so I probably won’t wear them, which is a shame after spending so much money.”

“So far, an excellent boot. Comfortable, warm, flexible, waterproof, fitment exactly as described on the website. I couldn't be happier and would suggest to anyone looking for a good Wellie not to snort at the price but to consider the price of quality and comfort. What remains to be seen is the boots' longevity - something. I can't yet comment on. Worth mentioning Le Chameau's return policy and arrangement which was, without doubt, the most useful set up I've ever encountered. I didn't need to use it, but well done for sending the boots in a resealable box, with a pre-printed Royal Mail parcel sticker, a returns docket and clear instructions. This is the gold standard of online/mail order shopping. Bravo!”
