Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Ok but not as warm as I thought they would be as being jersey lined thought they would be really warm!!!!”

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. If you are after a warm Wellington Boot - we would recommend the Neoprene Lining. The Neoprene provides thermal insulation against external cold and reduces heat loss. This happens due to Micro-bubbles that trap warm air. The Jersey Lining is a 65% polyester/35% cotton mix that is not insulated but is very hard-wearing. The cotton will absorb moisture away from the foot and is antibacterial. “A very comfortable and lightweight boot. I did actually want the Winter version of the boot, but it was not available in my size online. The Jersey-lined boot will be good though for the Spring, Summer & Autumn.”

“Bought as a gift for my daughter. She said they feel too soft and baggy and was contemplating returning them. However, she has decided to put up with the negatives because they are the warmest wellies she has ever had.”

“The boots are ok. Do find them very soft so not terribly easy to put on as they tend to push trousers up your leg. Also tend to pull socks down when walking. We will see how they fare over time. Hopefully should last a good while for the price.”

“Only had the boots for a week so don't know how long they will last, but they are a nice boot ideal for dog walking etc. My only issue is they are quite light on the sole, I am used to a more substantial boot with more support for the foot”

The Rubber has not changed over the years, and will never be as soft as it is when you first receive them, due to it being a natural product that will harden over time.
