Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I have waited a couple of months before writing this review due to a previous bad experience with some wellies purchased from another apparently high quality brand (beginning with H) which destroyed my feet and then destroyed themselves in a very short space of time. A whole different experience with my Le Chameau's. The wellies are quite filmsy in themselves (they fall over when empty) which concerned me slightly upon arrival. However, 2 months down the line, having been in the sea or beach at least twice a day for walkies, I have not experienced one single blister or ounce of discomfort. These are SUPER comfy boots. Unlike my H experience, there is (so far) no sign of cracking (likely due to sea salt errosion) and no water ingress. Very happy. I am quite tall and they are a good height too. My one slight negative would be that they are quite hard to take off. But given how good they are when on, I can live with this. Very good and would recomment. I am Le Chameau all the way from now on.”

“Comfortable fit but very snug around leg and particularly ankle making it difficult to get on with winter trousers needs more leg room or option for wider fifty (I don’t have big legs or ankles)”
