Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The most comfortable wellies ever, and really helpful customer service to find the right size. Usually size 6 but I have a high instep and wide-ish foot so found the women’s size 6 too snug. Then tried the men’s size 6.5, far too big. Rang up and got advised to go for women’s size 6.5, absolutely perfect”

“Perfect, very comfortable, and I hope so much they last longer than other well known branded wellies. Had a pair of neoprene lined Le Chameau wellies which lasted 10 years, but then went for a slightly cheaper brand, which lasted 13 months - big mistake. Hoping Le Chameau’s quality hasn’t changed.”

“My last Chameau's lasted over 7 years, and being worn every day, great value for money. I couldn't wait to get my new boots. However, when they arrived, they were very tight on the legs, okay if you just want to wear leggings, but my calves are chunky. I contacted customer services and they advised me to go for the mens version of the same boots, I have returned my original ones, and now waiting for the others to arrive. Couldn't fault the boots, just my legs! And the customer services very fantastic”
