Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The wellingtons were too big and had to be returned. Two weeks on, using the provided tracked label, no refund has been received. Whilst the quality of the wellingtons is good, customer service could be improved.”

“Gloriously comfortable boots! You won’t get better! Upgraded to neoprene and much more insulated and comfortable than the jersey vierzon. Thrilled. A note on sizing: although the neoprene is supposedly manufactured with a little more room inside to account for the fact that’s it’s thicker than jersey to keep it true to size, I had to go up a half size in the neoprene as it was far too snug and pressed against the sides of my feet terribly which the jersey in the same size doesn’t do. Very easy and quick exchange service! Just worth noting you may find the same.”

“They appear quite lovely and comfortable when I tried them on, however, I haven't had a chance to test them out as there has been no rain! I'm sure they will be as good as they look.”

“I have been wearing Le Chameau wellingtons for over 40 years since first buying a pair while on holiday in France. I wear them almost every day for country walking. Eventually the soles wear down or a small leak develops and I replace them.”
