Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These are my second pair. The first pair were so good that I didn’t hesitate to purchase another. You may think they are expensive but I wear my boots most days looking after two horses. They get a real bashing and wear for wear they are outstanding value. My last pair were ten years old when they finally let in water. Prior to purchasing Le Chameau I wore another makers boots, the zip failed after one season and they said they couldn’t repair them. The Le Chameau have never failed even although they get a tough time with me.”

“I bought these on line for my wife as a surprise ,her old Le Chameau leather lined wellingtons are over 8 years old and I thought it would be nice if she had a new pair. Unfortunately I bought the womens size 6. I now know she would have wanted the mens size 6 as she has a wide foot and the mens are a wider fit than the womens. When she tried them on she said they were a little tight but that they should become a better fit with time. We went out for a walk straight away. They have not got any better for her and it is to late to send back as she has worn them 3 times now. So she is back in her old pair and feeling rather sorry for herself. So if your wife has a wide foot do not buy the woman’s version. Other than my mistake we both love these wellington’s they are fantastic and we always recommend them to our friends.”
