Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“After decades wearing Hunter tall boots, the current size 12 is a bit to small: but the LeChameau Cross Country is perfect. The softer rubber is so comfortable; more like wearing slippers than ridged boots! And the tread is very effective.”

“I have a ladies pair of wellies which are fine but a bit tight so I bought a mens welly in a size larger than I normally take so that I can fit liners in for the cold weather as the boot itself is thin and therefore cold in the winter. Also I prefer the colour offer in the men's range. They work perfectly.”
