Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Soft flexible shell so they feel less clumpy than other brands. I normally take a size larger in wellies and walking boots but my regular shoe size in these was roomy enough even with thick socks”

“Narrow width fit. Fitted arch foam insoles as you can feel every stone underfoot. Good colour and perfect for garden use not sure I’ll be walking miles in them like I do in my old trusted 10yr old Le Chameau neoprene wellies.”

“I love these boots. Fit snuggly and are very comfortable with excellent tread for good grip which is very important to me as I use them for walking the dogs through the woods and it can get slippery. My only complaint is that they don't last that long. Just 18 months for my last pair before they sprung leaks, which is disappointing. But for everything else - definitely 5 stars.”

“Beautiful looking boots but sadly I had to return them. I ordered my usual size 6 but they were far too big and my foot kept slipping out (even with socks and an insole in them). Also the circumference of the top of the boot was too wide for my legs (I am a 34 calf measurement).”

“These are a beautiful, soft rubber boot. I went up a size (from uk4 to 5) as the fitting it quite narrow and the first pair pinched my feet. The 5's aren't perfect but better. I wish they did half sizes. The softness does mean there is little sturdiness when it comes to ankle support but if you are steady on your feet and the terrain relatively flat, then that's not an issue. The foot bed feels basic ( compared with Aigle Parcours Bottillon - out of production sadly) as is the sole. A good looker!”

“Lovely looking soft rubber boots. Unfortunately they are a little sloppy to walk in and do not grip well at the heel. I’ve added a sole insert which has helped but pulls my socks down after a few footsteps. As it happens, with the sole inserts and socks gathered under my feet they are very comfortable and I walked miles in them today!”
