Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These wellies are top class! I am a dog walker and wear wellies all year round and cover many many miles -my last pair of le chameau lasted 3 years which is longer than any other high end wellies. They are incredibly comfortable and well worth the money”

Thank you so much for your constuctive feedback. They do actually come with a Cross sole which is suitable for all terrain, with shank reinforcement for help with arch support so make the perfect for walking, gardening, anything lifestyle really but we do have other boots in the collection a little more substantial for agriculture, equestrian, fieldsports just for reference for the future. These boots will last you many seasons to come though we like to think. Best wishes, Grace
