Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The first issue I had was that next-day delivery did not actually occur, even though I paid for it and called the company to make sure it would be arriving next day. I was concerned I hadn?t yet received a shipping confirmation, and was told by the Le Chameau representative that ?in the U.K. we don?t call it a shipping confirmation? and that DPD would send me a delivery notice. His comment was an unnecessary and unwelcome reference to my American accent. In fact I received no info from DPD, the item did not arrive the next day, and I had to call again the following day and reschedule delivery. On top of this, when I finally received the boots, they proved to be leaky during the very first wear! This is absolutely unacceptable for wellies that cost �0 and from a brand that claims to value quality. I can only wonder whether moving production to Morocco has affected standards. I called the company again and they agreed to replace the boots on warranty, but frankly I am hesitant to trust Le Chameau quality again. Bottom line is that I would NOT recommend this company, which is a shame, given that I like the style and design of the boots.”
