Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“oh my days - once you have tried these boots you will not go back! The most comfortable boots EVER! The only one thing I would change it that I am 5'10 so would have liked them probably an inch taller, but pop on a wellie sock and they're good although I need a wellie remover to help get the boots off.”

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! I am also tall, and agree on the socks - it definitely helps to lengthen the look. The fit is deliberately snug for comfort, so we are very grateful that you are using a boot jack to take them off. Kicking them off is not good for the soles, so you will help to keep them going for even longer by taking them off in this way. I hope that you enjoy them for many seasons to come. “Too tight on the leg. Have tried twice but both times they had to go back. I must say I have not got big legs. But with jeans on they felt too tight. Very disappointed”

I am so sorry to hear that you have not found the right pair for you. It is such a shame that we didn't give you the information that you need for you to measure your calf and find the right pair. Our Chasseur and Saint Hubert styles come in multiple calf sizes and I am sure that we would have been able to find the right fit. I hope that you consider giving us another chance in the future. “The material isnt what I expected. Although sizing is perfect my right footis slipping in boot and seems unsupprted.”

I am so sorry to hear that you are not happy with the materiel of the boot. Our Chameaulux rubber is extremely supple and lighter than many other wellington boot choices, so you many find this takes some getting used to. It should make for extremely comfortable and lightweight wear, and each pair is rigorously tested for quality, so if you care for your boots, you should get many years of wear out of them. If you foot is slipping, I would recommend ordering a sport insole from our site (currently �, which should help to tidy up the fit on that side.
