Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These were bought to replace my old Le Chameau wellies which I've had for years. Have only worn the new wellington boots on a couple of dog walks (approx. 4 hours of walking in woodland and on gravel paths). So far I cannot fault them. Extremely sturdy and comfortable. I don?t find them heavy to wear. The Neoprene lining is great especially as we will be getting into the colder weather. I ordered a size 6 (usually a 5 or 5.5 in trainers). Would highly recommend them.”

Good Afternoon, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that our Vierzonord Wellington Boots did not work out for you. If you found the ankle too narrow we would suggest trying our Chasseur or Saint Hubert Style of Wellington Boot. These styles offer a more bespoke calf fitting dependent on the foot size. “They are sort of green and sort of tan, which means they match perfectly with almost all earth tones and go particularly well with tweed, wool and cashmere fabrics. These are solid and beautifully constructed. I highly, highly recommend.”
