Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I retired my first pair of Le Chameau boots this week, they were the Chasseur's and served me well for 7 years. I'm a wetland scientist and spend 3+ days a week in the field, walking 3-8 miles, through thick forests/underbrush, streams and wetlands and these are the only boots I could imagine doing that kind of work in. The only complaint I have is I wish they made a larger calf for women. Once you put briar pants on, and long johns in the winter, they get a little tight. The boots stretch but I know a lot of women, including my mother and sister, who can?t wear them at all because they have thicker calves and can?t even pull them all the way up. If they'd fix that, I think even more people would be buying these boots!”

“Style meets function plus longevity = great investment! Every pair of rain boots I have gotten, including Hunter boots, have broken within a year, except for my Le Chameau's! I decided to invest in another pair in this style because I wanted a change in color and style. Bought it in size 38 originally, since I have another style of Le Chameau boot that fits in 38. But it was a bit difficult to get this one off in 38, so I exchanged for a 39. The 39 fits perfectly. I am normally a shoe size 7.5 or 8 in US and have wide feet. Love my boots!”
