Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I purchased these because they were the only decent make I could find that do a ladies size 2.5. It is wonderful to have wellingtons that aren't made for children that actually fit! I notice some reviewers have complained that their boots leak. After a thorough testing in heavy rain and mud I can confirm that mine kept my feet warm and dry. However, and this is why I've only given them an average rating, they are so uncomfortable to walk in I cannot wear them! I walk miles every day across fields and footpaths so it is not that I am unused to doing so, but the pain these boots cause in my outer calves is unbearable, so they have been consigned to the shed and I have returned to my old Aigles with extra socks until Aigle see the light and start making a size 2! I had such high hopes, but I have simply wasted a lot of money.”
