Each of the 20 globes houses 5 LEDs and measures 5cm in diameter. With their perspex cap they’re a superbly close imitation to incandescent bulbs of old, but with all the eco-friendly and safe benefits of LEDs. These lights are evenly spaced along a black outdoor rubber cable with 22cm between each big bulb, with a total lit length of 5 metres. With a choice of three different power sources; mains, AA or D batteries so you can make the most of them wherever you want.

“Bit of a shame but after less than 9 months of these being hung in my garden they have started to fill with water. More disappointingly is that the twist together connectors have become brittle and one broke meaning that 3 strings of lights were smashed as they hit the floor and others smashed against my house! I had to purchase 3 new strings but haven't put them up yet as they are suspended across my garden from the top of my house across the patio to some large support posts at the back of the patio. On the plus side, when they were all up they looked fantastic and I had many comments from friends and family about how magical they made our garden at night.”

“Lights received as promised in time. We used them to decorate and illuminate a barn for my daughters wedding. Build quality good, all worked on first connection. One string even worked after being dropped from a beam. Looked great, maybe could have been slightly brighter but the effect was good especially as the day moved on and dusk arrived. Accessories I. E. Transformers and extensions did their job.”

“These lights are AMAZING. I shopped around for ages looking for the right kind of festoon lights and these are fantastic. They're a robust design - feel really, really solid and excellent quality. Also the clear bulb casings are plastic which makes them so much tougher and resilient, but they still look like the 'real thing' (for comparison, I have festoon lights with glass casings - they smash really easily and are an absolute pain to use as a result). The Lights4Fun sets are dead easy to connect (I bought 2 sets), and being as how all the component parts are sealed you literally just string them up and switch on. You can't unscrew the bulb casings as they're completely sealed for outdoor use, so not sure how to change bulbs if they go (?). However, being as how they're so robust and run on LEDs, I can't imagine that happening any time soon!”

“I extremely happy with these lights, I chose the clear bulbs ones and they look great. I ordered these over the telephone as I had a couple of questions which the call handler answered very expertly with excellent product knowledge. I would recommend for both the product and the service.”
