“The lighting itself is very pleasant. Although the hue is less amber than the previous iteration (the smaller book light) which is less preferable. The build quality overall is poor. The plastic feels cheap. The base is intended to stand on a desktop but has the poor design of being lighter (unstable) than the top lighting. The unit is top heavy. The plug for the wall is oversized and feels cheap. And worst of all, the cable did not fit properly into the charging port of the lamp—the housing slightly covered the port (a manufacturing flaw) and I had to carve it out with a blade so that I could charge the lamp. Also, there’s an inconvenient res light that illuminates while charging which I find annoying at night , so i have to unplug it when I sleep. The internal battery doesn’t hold its charge very long. The potential for this lamp is great, but needs a redesign for more stability in table surface mode, better connectivity, and longer battery life. More discrete branding on the lamp would be appreciated.”
