“For the Luma Hybrid Slumber system: The quality of the bed and materials is tremendous. It shows when I lay on the bed and my body is in perfect alignment. The edge support works really well by allowing me to sleep on the whole mattress, rather than needing to be closer to the center. My previous mattress was memory foam, which slept really hot, especially in the summer. This mattress sleeps much cooler. I was originally dismissive towards the included pillows, but tried them anyway. They are comfortable, resilient and complement the mattress' ability to align my body. Accordingly, my old favorite pillow has been demoted. I have found Luma's customer service to be responsive and helpful. If I can leave you (the reader) with just one takeaway from my experience, it is this: I still cannot believe the quality of the mattress' materials, construction and finish are available at a such a great price point. For Luma: My suggestion for you is to consider sewing fabric handles to the mattress to facilitate rotating the mattress.”

“Background: my partner and I are both under 200lbs, he’s a side/back sleeper and I’m a side/back/stomach/flop anywhere sleeper. We have had this mattress for a little over a month. After deciding on a latex mattress, we ended up choosing Luma with the help of Underground Mattress, based on product, design, and customer service reviews. We had also been to show rooms to try out conventional mattresses. We ordered the Hybrid Slumber system with the medium natural latex topper. We cannot say enough good things about this mattress or the company! The mattress overall is very supportive, with a little give and cushion. We had both been having back problems sleeping on my old pillow top (way too soft, no support, very hot, and squeaky to boot), and we could feel the difference even through the first couple nights. We both feel more well rested when we wake up, and the mattress stays cool through the night. The medium is the right amount of soft for us, and we tend to lean towards firm “traditional” mattresses. The bed also does a great job at isolating movement, so neither of us disturbs the other if we toss and turn. I was a little worried about the zoned coils as I tend to stretch horizontally across the bed, but I can’t feel them when I do, and either they really work or don’t do much because I can’t tell that they’re there. The pillows that come with the system are good so far- they’re a little floppier and squishier than other foam pillows we have tried, but they stay nice and cool and conform nicely to the head while still having support. As for customer service, there was a mixup with delivery- we were supposed to have the “white glove” delivery and it ended up getting shipped through fedex. I called customer service and they offered a refund or a scheduled setup with their apologies, and gave me time to consider it. We ended up taking the refund ( and it was very easy to set up- a little heavy and much easier with two people, but one person of moderate strength should be able to do it no problem!) and when I called back, the same person picked up the phone, remembered me, and finished processing everything in about two minutes while taking the time to chat with me about my smallish town (that they had heard of!). Overall they were incredibly helpful, the experience was very pleasant, and my refund was posted the same day. The experience has been awesome, and we love our new bed! We were nervous about paying for a bed we couldn’t test, with a material we had never tried, but honestly we wouldn’t change a thing!”

“Order arrived in time and in great condition. Very little smell when I opened the box. Was instantly comfortable and broke in quickly. The medium topper could be a little firmer but other than that an outstanding purchase.”
