“There are things to like and not like about this vacuum. I love that you can replace parts, that it is cordless, and it is light-weight. I wish there was a wide-mouth part that could be used at the end of the extension for vacuuming under the sofa or a bookshelf. I wish it had a light on the front to illuminate the floor, maybe with an on/off switch for power saving. I wish it turned on with the brush blades off. Lastly, the brush blades are not good on thick rugs, they always get stuck and i have to turn the power on/off to restart them, and conversely not good on very thin rugs, for some reason it has a hard time sucking up debris, and the suction power is often times too powerful for the area rug.
In some ways, I like it and I don't like it. I bought it to replace a cord-powered Shark that we loved. We got interested in cordless and specifically the Lupe, because I hate the idea of having to toss a whole vacuum cleaner away every 3-4 years because a basic part has gone bad.”

The brush bar & foam roller work independently & you can indeed turn the brush bar off if required ( the button with the straight line & double dots). We do recommend using a lower power mode on rugs & thicker pile carpet as the suction is very powerful as you mentioned. I will of course feedback your comments regarding the light & extension tool to our design team.

“I looked up a lot of reviews on YouTube before making this purchase. Vacuum Wars has an excellent review on the Lupe. My last vacuum was a Dyson. It was great for a couple years, then it slowly started to deteriorate. So for me, one of the biggest selling points was the modularity of the Lupe. If a part breaks you can replace it. Maintenance seems pretty simple. Suction power is great. One of my big concerns was the battery life, but even that seems great.”
“Seems like a good vacuum. I’ll be interested to see how it does in the long run. Long hair does get tangled in the bristles, they are easy to take out though. Maybe a rubber blade brush like the roomba has would do better with hair.”
“Very happy with this purchase - prefer having an upright vacuum compared with the 'stick' versions, and this one works really well. The attachments click into place nicely, the battery is easily removed to recharge and most importantly it does a good job without the overkill of using lasers and particle analysers!”
