“I first ordered the Dirty Blonde which was too light for me. I easily exchanged the Dirty Blonde for Chestnut Brown - a perfect color match. I wore the extensions as I got them for a wedding. Then I straightened them because I wanted to wear them with my hair straight. The shine, the luster, and the silkiness disappeared after I straightened the hair. The hair is now dry looking and lacks that shine that I loved. It blends into my hair fine but that initial shine and luster is gone which makes me a little sad. All in all, I would recommend this brand.”

Olivia, I'm happy to hear that the Chestnut Brown shade matches perfectly to your hair.
In regards to the lack of shine after straightening, perhaps the heat setting on your flat iron is too high. If possible, I suggest to lower the temperature setting to 140*C/280*F or lower to maintain the integrity of the hair, and prevent further heat damage.
At this time, I suggest to deep-condition the set with a good quality hair masque for several hours or overnight. You do not need to shampoo the hair if not needed. Once the conditioner is washed out, please leave your wefts laid out on a towel to air dry. Then you can go ahead and style them as you would. Adding in a little hair oil will help them regain their shine and softness.
