“I was very cautious about buying hair extensions I feared they would pull my own hair out or would look too fake. So buying luxy hair extensions was a risk for me, I'm glad I took that risk because I absolutely love my extensions, they blend with my hair colour and look so natural. Everyone comments saying I have princess hair. The team were so helpful when I thought I had the wrong colour, turns out colour was perfect and the team were extra supportive.

“I was SO excited to receive my Luxies and I had prepared by watching all of the youtube tutorials. I have short-ish hair (like a medium bob) and I really wanted to add some length. When I got them, I immediately tried them on, but for some reason could not get my hair to blend naturally with the extensions (the Luxies themselves were awesome- easy to work with exactly the way you showed on the videos). I tried a couple of times to get them to look more natural with my short hair, but I couldn't really figure it out. I spoke to one of my cosmetologist friends who told me that if I got them layered it would look more natural, but I don't want to ruin them-so I've packed them in a safe place and I'm waiting for my hair to get a bit longer before I wear them. If you could make more videos for short hair (straightened, my hair comes to ALMOST my shoulders) that would be fabulous. Thanks!”

If you have shorter hair, you definitely need some more customization for them to appear more natural and blended.
We do highly recommend to have them cut by your hairdresser to a slightly shorter length and add in layers as your friend mentioned. This will allow them to blend in more seamlessly.
Also, feel free to check out this video if you haven't seen it already on How to Blend Hair Extensions with Short Hair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiLD8LWcfk8. I'm sure you will find some of these tricks very helpful.
However, if you'd like to put them away for when you hair grows longer, they will definitely take less TLC to blend in. Sometimes you can even just clip them in without styling.

“I've been buying Luxy extensions for 3 years. My hair has not grown past a certain length for over 5 years now. These extensions saved me.. They give me the length and volume I've been wanting for years. They also last fairly long, I've kept a set up to a year even with dyeing multiple times and using heat tools daily. Recently I just ordered the ombre chestnut extensions, and they are absolutely beautiful. Also, the customer service is always amazing and I love that now you can connect with Facebook messenger. I don't have enough good things to say! I will never stop buying Luxy extensions”
“I got a haircut right before my hula halau's performance season and needed extensions as all dancers are required to have long hair. I emailed Luxy and was offered help in color and set matching by Takara, who was so sweet. I washed and braided the wet extensions in tight braids in order to produce gigantic hula hair - and had so many compliments! No one believed I was wearing extensions! I adore these, and although I only plan to wear them for performances, I know they are going to last quite a long time!”

“I have always had trouble with finding clip in extensions that match the thickness of my hair and have gotten so lucky in finding Luxy, These hair extensions are thick from root to tip and blend perfectly with my hair. The only issue I've ran into is that when I condition them they get lighter which is to be expected. This was a great buy and I'm looking forward to purchasing more.”

I'm so happy to hear that you love your new set of Luxies and that they match the thickness of your own hair.
In terms of the colour lightening after washing, I recommend to use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and to wash them in lukewarm water for about 30 seconds to a minute long. Then rinse, condition and leave to air dry. This should eliminate that problem.
