“I love the Essentials chocolate shake! It tastes delicious and has a nice creamy, thick texture just like an ice cream shake. I am very lazy in the morning and I never take time to eat breakfast. These shakes are so quick and easy to whip up. I have one every morning and I'm feeling much better than when I would skip breakfast. I mix it in a blender with oat milk and it comes out perfect!”

“While I'm very pleased with the nutrients this product provides, the chocolate protein powder itself is difficult to consume. The protein powder stays very gritty. Thinking the grittiness would dissolve overnight, I even tried stirring the powder into almond milk at night and made a shake with it the next morning. Did no good . . . it was STILL gritty the next morning! If it wasn't gritty, the taste would have been tasty, particularly with the banana that was blended in with it. Sadly, I spent a LOT of money for a product that I won't be able to use.”

Hi Bernice, Thank you for your review. We're very sorry that you were not satisfied with our Essential shake chocolate. Every once in a while, we do have some patrons who say that the taste needs to grow on them and that is fine. We are in the process of updating our formulations to improve the taste, texture, and flavor profiles. The powder mixes best using a shaker bottle or blender. For a thicker shake with a more robust flavor profile, we suggest using a milk substitute such as unsweetened almond or coconut milk, but feel free to get as creative as you’d like. “I used the Essentials Nutrition Chocolate shake for about a week. I stopped using it because I have gastritis and I felt bloated and gassy. I also read the Warning label on the bottom of the bag that says" Cancer and Reproductive Harm". The taste is great but the after-effects are not good for me.”

Hi Karlene, Thank you for the review. We appreciate it and will use it as a basis to improve our products and services. In the mean time, we will be releasing a reformulation of our shakes early next year. We hope you can be on the look out for that and you will be pleasantly surprised with the new sweeteners we will be using. As for the cancer warning, We abide by the State of California’s Prop 65.
