“This is a nice, moist, and flavorful cake with just the right balance of sweet and tart. For our taste, however, the cake (as opposed to the topping) was a bit bland and could have used some nuts, cranberries, or even chocolate chips inside. Maybe serving it with some interesting ice cream would help enhance it.”
“Pineapple upside down cake is usually too sweet for me. This was nice but somewhat too tart for a dessert. Perhaps if pineapple was added it would hit the mark. The cake texture was what you would expect. But it's flavor was flattened by the cranberries. You should just try it to see for yourself.”
“This cake was very very good. The cake part had a crumb that I was not familiar with but it was a huge hit with everyone. The cranberry topping was just tart enough to give the cake a perk-up. I would definitely recommend this cake.”
